Programming numerical simulations in Geophysics with several computer languages since the mid 70s. Responsible for the datacommunications part in the german data center of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty of the United Nations in the mid 80s. Starting to use web programming with Perl and Python as head of a computing center at the University of Bayreuth in the mid 90s. Since 2001 Professor for New Media and Internet Technologies at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, using Python as programming language in all courses.
